Visiting Susak outside the summer season is a special experience. It different to summer in so many ways, here are top 5:
Reason 1 – Level of relaxation is much, much higher in comparison to very relaxed summer

Reason 2 – Locals are more friendly since form August they are stuck only with each other and are very happy to see a new face
Reason 3 – offer of the fresh fish is much better since local fisherman cannot sell everything to restaurants
Reason 4 – It is squid (calamari) season, so you can buy the best squids in the world. Good price this year is around 130-140 Kn (17-18 Eur) per kg.
Reason 5 – On sunny days the temperature is just right, and you can sit in the sun entire day without feeling hot
So, if you have a chance to come, take it, but always check the the weather forecast because you could end up stuck on Susak for a week or two.
